About the Role
We are recruiting for a Business Development Executive to join a dynamic software solutions provider. This role is fully remote, available to candidates based in the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in expanding the company's presence and growing its customer base across Ireland and the UK. The position offers considerable independence along with the opportunity for uncapped earnings.
Experience and Background
The ideal candidate should have prior experience selling business-related software including SaaS, ERP, or other technology solutions targeting small and medium enterprises as well as mid-sized organizations. Preference will be given to those with a background in selling business management, finance, operational, or ERP software; however, experience with other B2B software or technology products will also be considered.
Knowledge of specific software such as Intact, EFACS, Exchequer, Kerridge, Epicor, Infor, Acumatica, SYSPRO, Pegasus Opera, or Odoo is advantageous but not mandatory.
Consultative sales experience, particularly relationship-focused selling to industries like retail, distribution, manufacturing, or wholesale, will be highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new business opportunities throughout Ireland and the UK.
- Identify potential customers using outbound prospecting, networking, and referral strategies.
- Develop and nurture strong relationships with business owners and key decision-makers.
- Manage the complete sales lifecycle from initial engagement through negotiation and closure.
- Accurately assess customer needs and offer tailored software solutions.
- Maintain a robust sales funnel and pipeline.
- Compose detailed proposals and quotations for clients.
- Keep CRM systems up to date with all relevant sales data.
- Represent the company at client meetings and relevant industry events.
