About the Role

This position is for a data-driven Business Analyst who will support the expansion of JD.COM’s Marketplace (POP) business in the London area. The role focuses on turning analysis into practical action by working closely with teams across business, category, supply chain, operations, product, and finance.

The main objective is to strengthen performance management, uncover growth opportunities, and improve operational execution across the marketplace. You will contribute to strategic analysis, reporting, and decision support that help merchants and the platform grow sustainably.

What You Will Do

  • Study Marketplace (POP) performance and prepare recurring business reviews, dashboards, and leadership reports.
  • Track important metrics such as GMV, orders, revenue, merchant performance, conversion, fulfillment, and customer experience.
  • Spot commercial opportunities and operational gaps through analysis, then turn findings into clear recommendations.
  • Work with category, marketplace operations, supply chain, product, finance, and marketing teams on planning and strategic projects.
  • Analyze merchants, assortment, pricing, promotions, and categories to support commercial decisions.
  • Create forecasting models and assist with annual planning, quarterly business reviews, and target tracking.
  • Develop and improve KPI frameworks, reporting structures, and ongoing performance monitoring.
  • Support business cases for new initiatives and assess how they perform after launch.
  • Improve reporting and analytics through automation and process enhancements.
  • Share insights and recommendations with business leaders and senior management.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Supply Chain, or a similar discipline.
  • Between 3 and 7 years of experience in business analytics, commercial analytics, strategy, marketplace operations, consulting, or eCommerce.
  • Prior exposure to eCommerce, marketplace (POP), retail, or internet-based businesses is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability, with skill in converting data into useful business insight.
  • Advanced SQL proficiency is mandatory; Python or R experience is advantageous.
  • Comfort using Excel and BI platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or comparable tools.
  • Strong ability to manage stakeholders and communicate effectively across functions.
  • Capability to juggle multiple priorities in a demanding, fast-moving environment.
  • English fluency is required; Mandarin would be an added advantage.
