Business Analyst - PMO

Role overview

Larsen & Toubro is looking for a meticulous Business Analyst for PMO support in the Greater Chennai Area. The position is centered on planning, monitoring, and governance of important business programs, while partnering with program managers and cross-functional teams to interpret requirements, assess progress, and support informed decision-making.

What the role involves

This role focuses on keeping projects on track by reviewing milestones, building management dashboards, studying business data, and highlighting any variance from the plan. It also includes maintaining process documentation, creating reports and presentation material for senior leadership, and coordinating with different teams to help deliver initiatives on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clarify, and record business needs for major projects and initiatives.
• Monitor program timelines, milestones, and deliverables across workstreams.
• Develop dashboards, MIS outputs, and performance summaries for leadership review.
• Spot execution risks, blockers, and areas where processes or outcomes can be improved.
• Contribute to PMO governance through disciplined reporting and well-structured documentation.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a closely related discipline; an MBA is preferred.
• 3 to 6 years of work experience in business analysis, PMO support, or project coordination.
• Good analytical ability, strong documentation skills, and a practical approach to solving problems.
• Working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting/dashboarding tools.
• Comfort working with several stakeholders in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.
