Job Responsibilities

• Deliver consistently professional, friendly, and proactive service to guests while collaborating with team members.
• Adhere to hotel standards and recipes in preparing all food items for a la carte and buffet menus ensuring quality and consistency.
• Contribute ideas and feedback during daily shift meetings to enhance kitchen operations.
• Ensure all kitchen staff understand and meet operational standards and expectations.
• Maintain open communication with Outlet Chefs concerning guest feedback and kitchen operations.
• Continuously seek to improve food preparation methods and presentation quality.
• Implement proper product rotation in chillers to minimize waste and spoilage.
• Have comprehensive knowledge of menu items, daily specials, and promotions to assist effectively.
• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Comply with all kitchen policies, service standards, and safety and hygiene requirements related to food and beverage handling.

Qualifications and Skills

• Previous culinary experience is essential.
• Possession of journeyman’s certification or an international equivalent is beneficial.
• Diploma in a culinary field is an added advantage.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• High level of responsibility and reliability.
• Ability to perform effectively under pressure in a fast-moving environment.
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to work cohesively with others.
