Biology Expert (Remote Contract)

About the Role

This contract position seeks an experienced Biology Expert to evaluate and enhance biological data used in AI development. The expert will critically analyze biology-related content, ensure scientific accuracy, and collaborate with cross-functional teams remotely. This role demands expertise in complex biological concepts and their application in data-driven AI environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Critically assess and provide comprehensive feedback on biology-related datasets, prompts, and content utilized in AI workflows.
• Design, refine, and review scientific scenarios and questions that incorporate intricate real-world biological challenges.
• Deliver expert insights to enhance the accuracy, depth, and relevance of AI training materials and system outputs within the biological field.
• Work alongside platform teams to clarify uncertainties and improve the scope, quality, and representation of biological data.
• Maintain thorough documentation of methodologies, assessments, and rationale supporting transparency and reproducibility.
• Engage in iterative reviews and ongoing evaluations aimed at improving the AI system’s biological domain performance.
• Participate in interdisciplinary knowledge exchange sessions to enrich overall project outcomes.

Qualifications

• PhD degree in Biology or a closely allied life science discipline.
• Proven mastery of fundamental biological principles with the capacity to explain complex topics to varied audiences.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for clearly articulating scientific feedback and arguments.
• Experience in scientific data analysis, critical assessment of research findings, and synthesizing complex information.
• Demonstrated self-reliance with a track record of delivering high-quality work independently within structured projects.
• Previous involvement in interdisciplinary scientific or technology projects; familiarity with AI is advantageous though not essential.
• High attention to detail, consistency, and a commitment to upholding scientific rigor and accuracy.
