About the Role
This opportunity involves partnering with a facilities services company that offers cleaning, maintenance, and operational support across commercial, residential, and institutional properties. The company is expanding its service areas and needs a Bilingual Staffing Specialist to manage recruitment efforts for numerous field employees efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for large-scale hourly hiring, including candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection.
- Organize and coordinate interviews to align staffing needs with operational schedules.
- Conduct onboarding and orientation sessions, presenting company policies, job duties, and workplace standards to new hires.
- Keep detailed records updated within the applicant tracking system and human resources databases.
- Initiate and oversee background checks consistent with company and client guidelines.
- Register new employees in attendance tracking systems and process various employment-related updates.
- Collaborate with payroll and HR teams to resolve employee queries and update employment records.
- Refer employee compliance issues or concerns to HR management when necessary.
- Assist with HR and operational administrative tasks, including responding to inquiries as needed.
Qualifications
- Fluent in both Spanish and English languages.
- At least three years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience, preferably in high-volume settings.
- Reliable transportation for commuting to the fully on-site Long Island City office and occasional travel.
- Hands-on experience with face-to-face candidate engagement and onboarding procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with HRIS or applicant tracking systems.
- A minimum of a high school diploma is required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Additional Information
- Position type: Contract-to-hire, with around six months before possible permanent placement.
- Work hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
- Compensation ranges from $22 to $25 per hour, depending on experience.
