Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned BI Architect to design and oversee large-scale business intelligence and analytics solutions for a prominent US retail client. This role demands expertise in Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, and Looker combined with strong knowledge of retail data architecture, semantic modeling, performance enhancement, and AI-assisted BI development. The successful candidate will establish BI architecture and governance frameworks, define platform standards, and lead engineering and analytics teams through deployment and modernization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable BI ecosystems utilizing Tableau, Power BI, and Looker technologies.
• Analyze business needs to recommend optimal reporting, semantic, and visualization architectures.
• Create enterprise-level semantic layers, reusable metrics, governed datasets, and certified reporting models.
• Develop retail analytics solutions encompassing sales, inventory, merchandising, store operations, supply chain, customer behavior, digital channels, marketing, and finance domains.
• Build frameworks supporting executive dashboards, operational reports, self-service analytics, and embedded insights.
• Establish standards for dashboard design, accessibility, performance, security, and usability.
• Optimize complex dashboards, data calculations, extracts, data models, live queries, and LookML implementations for best performance.
• Lead platform migration and rationalization projects to transition from legacy BI systems.
• Integrate BI platforms with Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery, cloud data warehouses, APIs, and enterprise data products.
• Define data security controls including row-level and object-level security, access rights, and data governance standards.
• Formulate CI/CD pipelines, version control, testing protocols, release management, and production support processes for BI assets.
• Leverage AI-based tools and assistants to enhance requirement gathering, SQL code generation, dashboard development, documentation, testing, and quality assurance.
• Design advanced conversational analytics features such as natural language querying, automated insights, anomaly detection, and proactive alerts.
• Review architecture designs, oversee governance, and troubleshoot performance or scalability challenges.
• Mentor BI developers, analysts, and team leads while engaging with US-based business and technical stakeholders.

Required Expertise

• Over nine years of experience in BI, analytics, and data architecture roles.
• Advanced capability with Tableau, Power BI, Looker, and enterprise semantic modeling frameworks.
• Proficient in SQL, dimensional modeling, data visualization, and dashboard optimization.
• Demonstrated experience architecting substantial retail analytics systems.
• Solid understanding of cloud architectures, especially Google Cloud Platform and BigQuery.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools, generative BI technologies, or agentic analytics.
• Strong communication skills, technical documentation expertise, and leadership ability.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications related to Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, Looker, or cloud platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Python, dbt, Dataform, Git, Agile methodologies, and retail analytics transformation initiatives.

Eligibility

Applicants must hold a B.Tech or B.E. degree in any specialization.
