Role overview

Michelberger Hotel & Restaurant has been welcoming guests and Berliners since 2009, creating food and hospitality experiences across hotel rooms, event venues, and public spaces. The kitchen and bakery work with produce from trusted sustainable suppliers, as well as ingredients from Michelberger Hof, their food forest in Spreewald/Brandenburg. The wider Michelberger family also includes ORA Restaurant, THEKE bistro, the MXPSM distillery, the PEOPLE Festivals, and Fountain of Youth.

An independent bakery within the hotel prepares all baked products using organic ingredients and supplies the restaurant, bistro, café, and bar. The role sits within the kitchen team and focuses on high-quality baking with care, consistency, and attention to detail.

What you will do

• Prepare and bake breads, small pastries, and sweet baked items, while also contributing to dessert production for the kitchen.
• Maintain the expected standards for taste, appearance, and overall product quality.
• Work carefully and precisely in day-to-day kitchen and bakery operations.
• Follow existing recipes and contribute ideas to improve them where appropriate.
• Use knowledge of premium ingredients and, ideally, bakery methods and production processes.
• Communicate clearly and cooperatively with teammates and other departments.
• Take part in training sessions and put new learning into practice.
• Observe and enforce hygiene rules, safety requirements, and cleaning routines.
• Keep a professional and positive approach when working with other teams.
• Ensure your station and shift setup are organized and ready for service.
• Comply with HACCP guidelines and the operating manual, including all legal and external requirements.

Your profile

The ideal candidate has completed vocational training as a chef or baker and brings 1–2 years of professional experience. Experience in a bakery or pastry shop would be an advantage. A creative mindset is valued, and German and English language skills are helpful.
