About the Team

The team works on strengthening cybersecurity for ByteDance and its customers, with the goal of supporting their digital transformation through modern security capabilities. It builds next-generation security offerings and has grown out of years of enterprise security experience inside ByteDance.

The business provides a broad set of security tools that help customers build a Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) setup in a practical and easy-to-use way. The team is described as fast-moving, efficient, and open to new ideas. The role is part of an expansion into APAC, the Middle East, and Europe.

Graduate Program Information

ByteDance is seeking graduates to join in 2026. This opportunity is aimed at individuals who want to take on ambitious ideas, solve difficult technical problems, and grow quickly in a challenging environment. Candidates must be available to start onboarding by the end of 2026 and should clearly mention both their availability and graduation date in their resume.

Job Responsibilities

• Build backend services and shared components for the company’s B2B security products.
• Work on requirement gathering and backend solution design, then turn business needs into workable technical approaches.
• Improve system performance, evolve the architecture, and solve technical issues that affect reliability, scalability, and security.
• Partner with product managers, frontend engineers, and QA teams to keep work moving and deliver features on schedule.

Minimum Qualifications

• Final-year student or recent graduate in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or another relevant technical field.
• Hands-on ability in at least one language such as C, C++, Go, Python, or Java in a Linux environment, along with familiarity with frontend-backend collaboration processes.
• Working knowledge of MySQL, Redis, message queues, and RPC frameworks.
• Good grasp of core computer science foundations, including operating systems, networking, data structures, and algorithms.
• Strong coding ability and modular design skills, with a focus on producing high-quality code.
• Strong learning mindset, accountability for product outcomes, clear communication, and the ability to work well across teams.

Preferred Qualification

Experience conducting deep research or contributing to open-source projects in AI-related areas is considered an advantage.
