About the Role
Our affiliated company, Capital Placement, operates a dual-sided marketplace connecting employers to early-career candidates. Currently, the sales team manages the entire employer acquisition cycle primarily through outbound cold outreach. While successful, further scalability via outbound is becoming challenging due to rising inbox saturation and declining response rates. To address this, we seek a B2B Growth Marketer to develop and lead a robust inbound marketing engine. This role focuses on attracting employers who are actively seeking interns or graduates, enabling the sales team to concentrate on closing deals instead of prospecting.
Key Responsibilities
- Devise and implement a lead generation strategy to deliver results within the first month and expand it over the following 6 to 12 months.
- Manage paid advertising and retargeting campaigns across Google, LinkedIn, Meta, and other channels, optimizing budget allocation to maximize conversions.
- Develop email nurture sequences, lead scoring models, and automation workflows that dynamically route qualified leads to sales representatives in real time.
- Create and deploy effective landing pages targeting the ideal audience, conduct A/B testing, and refine elements to boost performance.
- Increase Capital Placement's visibility in AI search environments (such as ChatGPT and Gemini) using structured data, citations, and Answer Engine Optimization techniques.
- Monitor the full marketing and sales funnel from first engagement through deal closure, leveraging data analytics to drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate closely with sales teams to define an ideal lead profile and enhance the lead handoff process.
- Plan and lay the groundwork for scaling the inbound marketing team within the next 6 to 12 months.
Candidate Profile
- A proactive self-starter who develops solutions proactively when existing options do not suffice.
- Minimum of 2 years experience building inbound marketing systems at B2B startups, with ownership of both strategic direction and hands-on execution.
- Proficiency with paid advertising on platforms including Google, LinkedIn, and Meta, incorporating retargeting and demonstrating knowledge of tactics that succeed or fail.
- Experienced in email marketing and marketing automation technologies.
- Regular user of sales engagement and data enrichment tools such as Clay, Apollo, and Instantly.
- Strong data literacy and ability to create performance dashboards.
- Advanced experience utilizing AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude) for automation, content creation, and landing page development.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in recruiting, educational technology, early-career talent markets, or marketplace startups.
- Experience marketing to B2B clients in Western regions including the UK and UAE.
