Role Overview

This full-time, on-site role located in Fairfield, IA involves producing precise technical and shop drawings for custom flooring and architectural window projects using CAD tools. Responsibilities include analyzing architectural plans, generating construction documents, updating drawings to reflect design changes, and collaborating with project managers, architects, and production teams. The drafter will ensure drawings adhere to project specifications, building codes, and company standards, while assisting in resolving design challenges to facilitate fabrication and installation.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated proficiency in technical and construction drawing for fabrication purposes.
• Experience in creating and updating shop drawings for custom building elements.
• Knowledge of architectural drawings and understanding of architectural concepts and building designs.
• Skilled in AutoCAD or comparable CAD software with familiarity in industry drafting standards.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements, with the ability to interpret blueprints and specifications effectively.
• Excellent communication skills and capacity to work collaboratively with designers, architects, and production personnel.
• Associate degree or technical certification in drafting, architecture, engineering technology, or similar fields preferred.
• Prior exposure to construction, architectural product manufacturing, or related environments is advantageous.
