Role Overview
The Billing & Payroll Auditor will partner with the Finance team to review driver trip activity and confirm that customer billing and driver payroll are accurate. The role calls for a highly organized, self-driven professional who pays close attention to detail, communicates clearly, and can work with limited supervision. A key part of the job is making sure financial transactions are correct and aligned with company rules and regulatory expectations.
Location: Hybrid in Canada
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
- Review trips that appear unprofitable to verify that customer invoicing and driver pay are both correct.
- Share discrepancies with the Billing team and/or Operations, track corrections through to completion, and escalate issues when required.
- Spot recurring problems and help ensure they are addressed at the source.
- Keep thorough records of trip reviews, communication history, and investigation outcomes.
- Help build the audit calendar and decide when reviews should take place.
- Compile weekly findings and present updates for management.
Requirements
- College diploma or trade apprenticeship certification.
- Strong organizational ability and a sharp eye for detail.
- Capability to gather, analyze, and summarize large volumes of information from multiple sources.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle several priorities at once effectively.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- 3 to 4 years of experience in a similar or related role is an advantage.
- Experience with A1 or PC Miler is an asset.
- Background in logistics is preferred.
