About Auditor-General's Office (AGO)
The Auditor-General's Office (AGO) serves as an autonomous government body responsible for auditing and reporting to the President and Parliament on the correct accounting and utilization of public funds. Its role is crucial in promoting public accountability and fortifying the financial governance within the public sector. AGO carries out comprehensive audits that reveal system inefficiencies, non-adherence to procedures or legislation, as well as instances of excess or wastefulness in public resource utilization.
Role Overview
The position is based within the Procurement & Contracts Audit Department (PCAD). The selected candidate will support the Group Director and Audit Director in conducting audits of procurement processes, including those for development and construction projects undertaken by government ministries, statutory boards, and other public organizations. The goal is to verify that procurement activities align with established principles, rules, and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct risk assessments related to procurement and contracts.
- Draft comprehensive audit plans targeting procurement activities.
- Execute audit assignments in accordance with defined objectives.
- Prepare management letters documenting audit outcomes and findings.
- For experienced candidates, supervise audit projects and mentor junior auditors.
- Review audit documentation to ensure compliance with standards.
Candidate Requirements
- Singapore citizenship is mandatory.
- Possess tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Project and Facilities Management disciplines.
- At least one year of relevant experience in procurement, contracts management, project management, or related development/construction projects, or comparable experience.
- Familiarity with government procurement policies, procedures, rules, guidelines, and GeBIZ platform is advantageous.
- Strong analytical capabilities, excellent interpersonal skills, and effective verbal and written communication proficiency.

- Applicants with extensive experience may be assigned supervisory roles overseeing select projects and responsible for coaching team members.
