Associate - Production

Job Overview

This role is based in the Production department, focusing on various manufacturing sections including Granulation, Compression, Coating, and Encapsulation. The incumbent must adhere strictly to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Good Practice (GxP) standards, and relevant regulatory requirements including Environmental Health & Safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete mandatory training on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and develop thorough understanding prior to executing any task.
• Perform assigned production tasks in strict compliance with SOPs and Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR), reporting any challenges or deviations promptly to supervisors.
• Manage manufacturing processes including handling of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products, as well as operating, cleaning, and maintenance of equipment following SOPs.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of work areas and machines adhering to GMP standards.
• Support Quality Management Systems by identifying and reporting any non-conformance or quality concerns to department leadership and Quality Assurance.
• Receive raw and packaging materials from the warehouse and ensure cleanliness of designated areas.
• Carry out in-process quality checks as specified and document results accurately.
• Ensure personal hygiene and compliance with all HR department policies when entering production zones.
• Contribute to cost-efficiency by monitoring overtime and other production costs, while maintaining standard yield.
• Monitor environmental conditions to align with BMR and SOP requirements.
• Ensure proper calibration and preventive maintenance of manufacturing tools and equipment as per schedule and quality standards.
• Perform line clearance activities between batch and product changes ensuring full SOP compliance.
• Manage issuance, retrieval, and disposal of production materials such as dies, punches, bags, and other related accessories.
• Participate in audit processes ensuring full compliance.
• Engage in troubleshooting for machinery and process issues when needed.
• Attend all required on-the-job and functional training sessions pertaining to cGMP, safety, and job-specific skills.
• Complete any additional tasks assigned by the Production Head.

Qualifications & Experience

• Educational background includes Graduation in Science or a Diploma in Engineering or Pharmacy.
• 2 to 6 years of experience in a relevant production or manufacturing environment.
