Job description

Role Overview

This position entails the responsibility of overseeing and evaluating monetary and financial developments both regionally and internationally.

Key Responsibilities

You will collaborate closely with a proactive team to formulate and promote the Monetary Authority of Singapore's (MAS) stance at various multilateral forums including ASEAN, EMEAP, G20, IMF, FSB, BIS, among other significant international platforms and regulatory bodies. Additionally, your duties will involve fostering bilateral cooperation and strengthening relationships with MAS's international counterparts. Opportunities may also arise to contribute to negotiations related to financial services free trade agreements.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience in international relations, regulatory policies, or supervisory roles is beneficial.
  • Educational background in Economics, Political Science, or International Relations is preferred.
  • Strong strategic thinking paired with analytical capabilities.
  • Resilience, proactive attitude, ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt within a dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in both written and verbal communication.
  • Collaborative team player with effective networking and organizational skills.
  • Applicants must be Singaporean citizens.

Additional Information

The role demands working in a fast-moving environment requiring efficient management of various priorities and stakeholder expectations, alongside the agility to respond to evolving circumstances. Candidates may be asked to provide a medical declaration and/or undertake additional assessments as part of the shortlisting process. This appointment is for a fixed term of one year.
