Assistant Talent Buyer

About the Role

The Buffalo Rose is a bustling restaurant, bar, and live event venue located in historic downtown Golden, Colorado. It hosts a variety of ticketed concerts, comedy nights, community gatherings, and private events, accommodating audiences up to 625. We are seeking an organized Assistant Talent Buyer to assist the Senior Talent Buyer and Managing Member in supporting the entire show process from conception through to the event night.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in identifying potential artists and agents by researching routing schedules, market reach, and performance data from platforms such as Bandsintown and Songkick, as well as regional festival lineups.
• Maintain and update a detailed artist prospect database, including outreach history and booking progress; compose and track follow-up communications to ensure all leads are pursued.
• Act as the primary liaison for logistical communications with agents and artist management, managing contracts, riders, and confirmations, and following up on pending agreements to keep deals progressing smoothly.
• Compile and organize artist materials post-contract signing, such as stage plots, technical riders, promotional content, and EPKs.
• Coordinate show logistics within the venue, including distributing technical documents to production teams and managing day-of event timelines.
• Attend shows to provide onsite administrative support, verifying hospitality arrangements and overseeing operational flow.
• Create written post-event reports evaluating artist performance, production quality, timing, guest experience, and overall atmosphere; relay feedback to inform future bookings.
• Manage event data entry and documentation using Tripleseat and HoldMyTicket, including configuring ticket sales, promo codes, and release schedules.
• Support promotional efforts by ensuring timely delivery of show assets to promotion teams, monitoring promotional milestones, and collaborating on marketing activities.
• Assist with post-show financial reconciliation and maintain organized settlement documentation.

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly pay of $30 as a part-time contractor, with a maximum of 25 hours per week.

Desired Skills and Qualifications

• One to three years of experience in administrative or coordination roles; background in live music or event industries is highly preferred.
• Strong written communication skills suitable for professional correspondence with artists and agents.
• Familiarity with event management platforms such as Tripleseat and ticketing systems like HoldMyTicket or Eventbrite.
• Comfortable using Google Workspace or Microsoft Office software suites.
• Ability to work with show-related data such as ticket counts, revenue stats, and settlement calculations.
• Highly organized, proactive, and able to maintain clear, up-to-date records and communications.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to build trust and coordinate effectively with artists, agents, sound engineers, and venue staff.
• A passion for live music and knowledge of the Denver/Front Range entertainment scene is essential.
• Willingness and availability to work evenings and weekends to attend shows.
• Self-motivated and capable of managing responsibilities independently.

Day-to-day work involves use of Tripleseat, HoldMyTicket, Google Workspace, Bandsintown, Pollstar, Meta Business Suite, Events Vesta, and AI tools.
