Job Overview

Central Interiors seeks an Assistant Project Manager to support our project management team in Scottsdale, AZ. This role involves collaborating closely with Project Managers to oversee daily construction operations, ensuring projects meet scheduled timelines and budget targets while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the lead Project Manager with daily site operations, scheduling, and subcontractor coordination to maintain project momentum
  • Manage and update documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and procurement logs accurately
  • Analyze drawings and specifications to identify coordination issues and facilitate their resolution
  • Compile daily reports, maintain photographic records, and track progress against project timelines
  • Coordinate effectively with project stakeholders including owners, architects, engineers of record, and trade partners
  • Support budget management through cost coding, billing processes, and cash flow monitoring
  • Contribute to enforcing quality control measures and maintaining job site safety protocols

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum of three years' experience as an Assistant Construction Project Manager or a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or Civil Engineering
  • Experience with interiors or hospitality construction is an advantage
  • Proficiency with online project management software, specifically Procore
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Excellent teamwork skills combined with organizational and detail-oriented abilities
  • Competent in preparing schedules using Microsoft Project and strong skills in Microsoft Office applications
