Role overview
This opportunity is for a proactive Assistant Manager/Manager to join the projects function on a 3-year contract in Singapore. The position centres on procurement, contract administration and compliance for construction projects, with responsibility for tendering, vendor assessment, contract execution and process governance.
What you will do
- Lead procurement, contracting and compliance activities across project workstreams.
- Work closely with the Projects/BET team, relevant business units and external consultants throughout pre-award and post-award construction management.
- Develop procurement approaches, identify and shortlist suitable vendors, run RFQ/RFP exercises and manage tender processes.
- Assess tender submissions as part of award recommendations and review supporting internal approval papers for management sign-off.
- Create standard operating procedures for construction management, including process controls, compliance measures and efficiency improvements.
- Negotiate, prepare, review and explain contract execution steps to keep processes consistent, accurate and timely.
- Support yearly performance targets tied to internal controls, schedule adherence, cost efficiency and broader business goals.
Requirements
Candidates should hold at least a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline and bring a minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying and contract management, preferably within construction or engineering. Prior exposure to consultancy or developer environments is preferred. Experience with Design and Build as well as Traditional Build contracts is required.
