Assistant Manager - Supply Chain Excellence

About the Role

The Assistant Manager will aid the Supply Chain Director in enhancing overall supply chain operations, focusing on boosting performance, streamlining processes, and enabling informed decisions throughout the supply chain lifecycle. Key targets include improving planning accuracy, optimizing inventory, cost management, supplier evaluation, and enhancing logistics effectiveness, supported by robust analytics and comprehensive reporting.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Facilitate the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) and Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes by integrating data from Sales, Finance, and Operations departments.
• Oversee alignment between demand and supply, identifying potential risks early.
• Continuously improve forecast precision and offer actionable insights to inform decision-making.
• Manage inventory levels, pinpoint slow-moving or surplus stock, and optimize stock based on service level requirements.
• Assist in shaping inventory policies to improve operational effectiveness.
• Monitor logistics performance metrics and costs, enhance fleet usage, and identify opportunities to reduce expenses while maintaining service standards.
• Evaluate supplier performance indicators such as On-Time In-Full (OTIF) and lead times, analyze supplier dependability, contribute to cost reduction strategies, and aid in supplier assessment processes.
• Create and maintain dashboards and standardized reports to ensure prompt and accurate information delivery for executive leadership and decision-making support.
• Promote accurate and reliable data handling within ERP/SAP systems, suggest improvements, and support automation efforts.
• Drive initiatives to curtail costs, promote operational transformations, and boost overall efficiency in supply chain processes.
• Serve as the communication link across departments to guarantee synchronized planning and resolve operational challenges promptly.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience of 4 to 6 years within supply chain roles, preferably in an FMCG company.
• Fluency in both written and spoken Arabic and English.
• Professional certifications such as APICS, CPIM, or CSCP are advantageous.
