Job Purpose

The Territory Manager for Retail and Commercial & Industrial (C&I) segments is entrusted with enhancing sales growth and nurturing customer relationships within a specific region. This role entails implementing sales strategies, managing key accounts, expanding business prospects, collaborating with channel partners, and supporting the sales team to fulfill business goals while ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute sales strategies to boost revenues for retail and C&I sectors within the designated territory, aligning activities with corporate and regional targets.
  • Identify and pursue new business leads through proactive sales efforts, networking, and marketing; sustain a strong prospect pipeline.
  • Manage crucial accounts by understanding client requirements, offering tailored solutions, timely order fulfillment, and negotiating favorable contracts.
  • Conduct thorough market research, monitor competitor actions and customer trends; recalibrate sales approaches to maintain competitiveness and meet targets.
  • Consistently achieve or surpass sales goals across both retail and C&I channels; monitor performance, recognize deficiencies, and implement remedial measures.
  • Collaborate closely with channel partners to maximize sales effectiveness and ensure efficient product distribution; provide necessary training and assistance.
  • Accurately maintain sales data, prepare reports, and update senior management regularly on sales outcomes, market dynamics, and competitor insights.

Internal and External Stakeholders

  • Internal: Territory Sales Team, Sales Operations Team, Marketing Team, Customer Service Team.
  • External: Retail and C&I customers, Local Channel Partners, Contractors and Project Managers, Suppliers.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related discipline; an MBA qualification is advantageous.
  • Bring 6 to 8 years of sales experience, including 2 to 3 years in territory management, particularly handling retail and C&I sales in solar or allied sectors.
  • Exhibit excellent communication and customer relationship management capabilities.
