About the Company

Babyshop is a well-established omni-channel retailer for babies and children, operating across the Middle East, Africa, Southeast Asia, and India. The business runs more than 250 stores and maintains a strong digital footprint across 14 markets, supporting millions of families with dependable, high-quality offerings in fashion, nursery, toys, and baby essentials. With more than five decades of experience, the brand is recognized for strong customer loyalty and a value-led approach.

Role Overview

This role sits within business development for Babyshop’s e-commerce marketplace. The position focuses on expanding the marketplace by bringing in and developing third-party suppliers, new brands, and accounts across consignment and back-to-back business models.

What You Will Do

  • Manage existing suppliers and help grow their sales through timely ordering and coordinated promotional activity.
  • Work with current suppliers on introducing new product listings.
  • Identify and develop new vendors in assigned territories using consignment, back-to-back, or outright models to meet annual business targets.
  • Partner with the legal team and suppliers to complete business agreements for both new and existing vendors.
  • Coordinate shipments with Dubai-based suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and reduce stock-out risks in the assigned territories.
  • For joint promotions, obtain credit notes and work with territory finance to ensure they are accounted for correctly.
  • Train back-to-back suppliers on how to use the company’s ordering portal and process orders effectively.
  • Prepare monthly sales reports for consignment and back-to-back suppliers.
  • Work with territory finance to ensure supplier payments are released on time.
  • Address ageing inventory concerns with suppliers on outright purchases and take suitable action such as returns or liquidation.
  • Support new supplier account creation in coordination with the relevant territory team and supplier.
  • Maintain the sales tracker each week, reviewing pricing, margins, unapproved products, and out-of-stock items, and acting on issues as needed.
  • Ensure product listings go live within the required timeline.

Requirements

  • A degree in Business Management is required.
  • At least 3 years of experience in e-commerce retail is needed.
  • Strong imagination and a creative approach to solving problems are important.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities are essential.
  • Prior experience introducing international brands or launching a brand in a new market will be an added advantage.
