Role Overview
The Assistant Buyer, Paid Social, is an entry-level position designed for individuals eager to start their careers in digital media. The role involves assisting in the planning, execution, and optimization of paid social advertising campaigns for multiple clients. This position offers hands-on training from experienced professionals and the opportunity to develop skills in media buying, campaign management, reporting, and client communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with planning, launching, executing, and reporting on paid social campaigns across different platforms.
- Support the creation of media plans, presentations, flowcharts, and documentation.
- Collect and analyze campaign data, platform costs, and audience insights for strategic recommendations.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as Media Operations, Ad Operations, Finance, Analytics, and Planning to ensure smooth campaign launches.
- Create media contracts and maintain accurate campaign information in internal systems.
- Monitor campaign pacing, budgets, and performance to identify opportunities for optimization.
- Assist in campaign trafficking, quality assurance, and coordination with media partners and Ad Operations.
- Prepare reporting, proof of performance documentation, and post-campaign analyses.
- Manage daily communications with internal stakeholders, media partners, creative agencies, and progressively with clients.
- Stay informed on new social media platforms, industry trends, and advertising innovations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- 3-6+ months practical experience managing and optimizing paid social media campaigns.
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management capabilities.
- Demonstrated analytical abilities including interpreting social and paid campaign performance data.
- Interest in paid social media, digital marketing, and advertising preferred.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- A curious, proactive, and resourceful approach to problem-solving.
Work Environment
This role operates on a hybrid work schedule with a minimum of two days per week in the office to facilitate training, collaboration, and relationship-building.
Compensation
The salary range is $47,000 to $50,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
