Area Manager

Role overview

This is a travelling, on-the-road area management role covering the Waterford, Wexford, and Kilkenny territory. The position focuses on sales operations and retail leadership, with responsibility for delivering an excellent customer experience across multiple stores. The business is looking for energetic, strategic retail leaders who can drive results, develop people, and adapt quickly in a fast-moving environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee a district and take direct responsibility for all Store Managers in the area.
• Build a positive working culture and encourage strong collaboration across teams.
• Coach, guide, and develop Store Managers so they can improve store performance.
• Review stock movement and carry out routine cash control checks.
• Join district visits with the Sales Executive.
• Support strategic projects by analysing information and sharing practical recommendations.
• Manage store refurbishments, launches, and relaunches.
• Plan annual business targets and staffing approaches.
• Define KPIs and monitor performance against company objectives.
• Implement company strategy consistently across the district.
• Attend and help prepare for Area Manager meetings.

Requirements

• A minimum 2:1 degree in any subject, or at least 3 years of management experience.
• Strong ability in communication, planning, organisation, and analysis.
• A full UK driving licence is required.
• A self-motivated, adaptable, and hardworking leadership approach.
• Background in a fast-paced working environment.
• Demonstrated success in leading and inspiring teams.
• Interest in building a long-term career in retail.
• Multi-site or area management experience will be considered an advantage.
