Position Summary
The firm is looking for a Licensed Architect or an Architectural Designer pursuing licensure with more than three years of relevant professional experience. The role is based at the Portland, ME office located at 65 Newbury St and requires a full-time, on-site presence.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed construction documents and assist with space planning, code compliance reviews, and technical detailing.
- Maintain knowledge of building codes and current construction technologies.
- Conduct site visits, coordinate with contractors, and oversee construction administration tasks.
- Collaborate with engineering consultants from multiple disciplines including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, and civil engineering.
- Perform both independent and team-based work effectively.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Hold a professional architectural degree (B.Arch or M.Arch) from an accredited institution.
- Have at least three years of architectural design and production experience within a professional environment.
- Be a Registered Architect or actively progressing toward licensure.
- Expertise in Revit and AutoCAD is essential; familiarity with Deltek Specpoint, SketchUp, and Twinmotion is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of building codes, construction documentation processes, and detailing is expected.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
- Ability and willingness to travel within Maine.
- Self-driven, reliable, and professional with strong commitment to completing tasks promptly.
- Flexible scheduling but primarily office-based in Portland, ME.
