Job Overview

The Payroll Analyst is entrusted with ensuring precise and punctual payroll processing for multiple countries, strictly adhering to local labor legislations, tax mandates, and company policy. This role demands meticulousness, effective intercultural communication, and familiarity with various payroll platforms. Collaboration with HR, Finance departments, and external partners is essential to oversee full-cycle payroll activities, troubleshoot inconsistencies, and bolster global payroll operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Calculate payroll from gross to net pay, considering all statutory and other applicable deductions.
• Perform reconciliations and analyses comparing gross to net pay between the current and previous months.
• Maintain and update payroll records including coding, sick pay, deductions such as arrestments, tax credits, student loans, and changes to bank details.
• Apply comprehensive understanding of diverse statutory payroll regulations to resolve complex payroll issues.
• Engage with employees and management regarding payroll inquiries.
• Participate actively in internal and external payroll audits.
• Ensure expense reports conform with company policies by verifying documentation, calculations, and account coding.
• Make timely remittances of withheld payroll taxes and other statutory payments to country-specific authorities.
• Input electronic transfer data into banking software and submit it for supervisory approval.
• Distribute payslips and necessary statutory documentation or certificates.
• Prepare various reports, statutory filings, and country-specific returns as required.
• Manage general payroll administration including filing, forms completion, pension, child support agency (CSA) submissions, and year-end tax reporting, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Support implementation of software upgrades and sustain standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Fulfill additional payroll-related tasks as assigned.
• Create and update payroll process SOPs to reflect procedural changes.
• Drive process improvements and optimize workflows through innovative ideas.
• Assist in system testing and transitions.
• Verify and process time-related data accurately and promptly.
• Ensure completion of all time and labor activities with accuracy and within deadlines.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a commerce degree or higher.
• Experience ranging from 2 to 6 years in payroll roles within international organizations.

• Proficient understanding of payroll principles and practices.
• Experienced with Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Detail-oriented and systematic approach to tasks.
