Position Summary
We are seeking a part-time Accounts Payable Specialist to support our finance team remotely. The role involves managing vendor invoices and payments with a focus on accuracy and timeliness. Key duties include verifying and coding expenses, matching purchase orders, reconciling vendor statements, and preparing journal entries related to accounts payable. The specialist will also assist in month-end closing tasks and ensure adherence to relevant policies and regulations while communicating effectively with internal teams and vendors.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experienced in reviewing and coding expense reports.
- Strong analytical capabilities for resolving invoice discrepancies and assisting financial decisions.
- Basic understanding of finance principles concerning payables and vendor management.
- Accounting proficiency including invoice processing and journal entry preparation.
- Familiarity with accounting or ERP systems such as QuickBooks or NetSuite and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills suitable for remote work.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaboration.
- Academic credentials: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience within real estate, mortgage, or financial service industries is advantageous.
