Overview
Join The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company in Doha, Qatar, as an Accounts Payable Clerk, where you will help ensure the financial accuracy and organizational integrity of accounting records in a prestigious hospitality environment. This is a full-time, non-management position based onsite at Ras Abu Abboud Street.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Verify the correctness of numerical data, displays, and documentation, ensuring mathematical accuracy and appropriate coding.
- Organize, safeguard, and regularly update files, documents, cash, and cash equivalents in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Record, store, retrieve, and analyze computerized financial information efficiently.
- Classify, code, and summarize numerical and financial data to maintain accurate financial records using journals, ledgers, or computer systems.
- Carry out end-of-period closing procedures and generate related reports as specified.
- Perform periodic cash drawer verifications following standardized operational procedures.
- Maintain, distribute, and document petty cash, cash drawers, and contracts appropriately.
- Document, update, communicate, and address any cash discrepancies in line with operational standards.
- Coordinate between the property, armored car services, and the primary banking institution.
- Participate in internal, external, and regulatory audits ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures.
- Adhere strictly to company policies, maintain a professional and neat appearance by wearing the approved uniform, and safeguard confidentiality related to the company and hotel.
- Protect company assets as well as the privacy and safety of guests and colleagues.
- Communicate clearly and courteously in all interactions, preparing and reviewing documents accurately and completely.
- Answer telephone calls professionally and ensure coworkers understand their responsibilities.
- Foster positive, constructive professional relationships and collaborate effectively to achieve shared goals.
- Respond appropriately and supportively to coworkers' concerns.
- Capably handle moving objects weighing up to 10 pounds (4.5 kg) without assistance.
- Perform additional reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of relevant work experience in a similar role.
- No supervisory experience required.
- No specific licenses or certifications needed.
