Role Overview
The Accounts Assistant will play a vital role in supporting daily financial operations within our Finance department to ensure seamless business processes. This position suits candidates early in their finance profession, including recent graduates, who are eager to gain practical experience in an energetic and international setting. Reporting directly to the Management Accountant, the role encompasses close collaboration with the Finance team to handle sales order processing, invoicing, credit control, and other critical financial functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and issue precise customer invoices promptly.
- Apply customer payments according to remittance details.
- Carry out credit evaluations and monitor customer credit status.
- Proactively contact customers via phone and email regarding overdue payments.
- Resolve customer billing inquiries by liaising with internal departments as needed.
- Collaborate with the Sales team to address account concerns and provide assistance.
- Support efforts to meet monthly cash collection objectives.
- Assist with account reconciliations and maintain accurate bookkeeping.
- Offer general administrative help within the Finance team and undertake miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- Previous experience in finance or administrative roles is advantageous but not obligatory.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to foster positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Comfortable and professional in handling customer inquiries and resolving issues effectively.
- Eagerness to learn and expand knowledge of financial systems and client account management.
- Strong precision and attention to detail in all tasks.
- Proactive mindset with confidence in initiating problem-solving actions.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Excel.
- Familiarity with SAP or comparable ERP platforms is a plus but not essential.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary range from €30,000 to €35,000, depending on experience.
