Summary

Scoot is hiring a meticulous Accountant to join its Corporate Finance function in Singapore’s East Region. The role centers on managing the full financial close cycle, maintaining accurate accounting records, and supporting adherence to accounting standards.

You will work with teams across the business to provide reliable financial information, assist with audit preparation, and help improve accounting processes, controls, and overall efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Run monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes so reports are completed accurately and on time.
• Draft journal entries, perform bank reconciliations, and maintain supporting schedules in line with accounting requirements.
• Compile statistics and data needed for surveys.
• Coordinate with different business units to collect financial information and clear up any mismatches or errors.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing documents and explaining accounting records when needed.
• Contribute to initiatives that improve workflow, simplify accounting tasks, and strengthen efficiency.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an ACCA / equivalent qualification.
• Strong analytical thinking and reasoning ability, with the confidence to explain financial information clearly.
• High attention to detail, a strong focus on accuracy, and the ability to work to deadlines.
• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Comfort using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) would be an added advantage.
