About the Team
The Telstra Business Technology Centres support IT and business solutions tailored for small and medium business clients, focusing on efficient communications and ICT services, enabling clients to focus more on their business than on technology troubleshooting.
Role Summary
The Account Manager oversees customer relationships to foster satisfaction, revenue growth, and portfolio development. Responsibilities include managing customer interactions, contributing to strategic campaigns, handling sales contracts, and collaborating across teams to identify leads and meet financial and service goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and nurture customer relationships to enhance satisfaction and meet sales objectives.
- Support segment strategies and outbound campaigns for portfolio retention and growth.
- Handle inbound and outbound sales and service contracts, respond to inquiries, and escalate issues as needed to ensure positive customer experiences.
- Work closely with peers and stakeholders within the TBTC channel and Telstra teams to identify and qualify sales leads.
- Develop and maintain account plans to drive financial targets, customer satisfaction (NPS), and data accuracy.
- Achieve individual and team key performance indicators related to sales and service.
- Continuously improve knowledge of Telstra’s products and solutions to enhance service delivery.
- Embrace technological advancements and process improvements to better serve business customers.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Excellent verbal communication with a clear, persuasive phone manner.
- Strong sales skills including needs identification, solution pitching, and closing deals.
- Resilience and persistence in handling rejection while staying motivated.
- Effective time management to balance high call volumes and multiple priorities while maintaining quality.
- Proficient in handling objections and converting challenges into opportunities.
- Proven track record of meeting/exceeding KPIs such as call targets, conversion ratios, and revenue generation.
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume contact center environment.
