This internship offers a deep dive into 3D reconstruction and computer vision, focusing on developing algorithms that utilize smartphone-captured data rather than online datasets. Interns will engage in critical research activities such as understanding scientific papers, translating complex mathematics into functional code, and creating proof-of-concept models to enhance 3D reconstruction quality.
The role also entails collecting and processing data, analyzing and documenting experimental results, troubleshooting, and clearly communicating findings. Upon completion, candidates must deliver a fully operational codebase along with a video demonstration of the 3D reconstructions they developed. Contributions will directly support the advancement of a 3D phenotyping product designed for practical commercial use.
