Internship Overview

This unique role offers an insightful, hands-on experience into the inner workings of a dynamic startup. The intern will work closely with the Founder, acting as a versatile generalist with responsibilities spanning sales, marketing, content creation, and partnership development, with significant ownership from day one.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct outbound sales calls, promote StoryMirror's services to writers and prospective partners, and convert leads into clients.
• Research and maintain a steady prospect pipeline across authors, brands, and institutions.
• Assist in planning, executing, and analyzing marketing campaigns end-to-end.
• Manage and curate engaging social media content while tracking engagement and fostering community growth.
• Identify and initiate outreach to potential partners, supporting the development of strategic alliances.
• Create clear, compelling promotional content for social media posts, emails, blogs, campaigns, and pitches.
• Design polished PowerPoint presentations and pitch decks for varied stakeholders.
• Coordinate cross-functional activities, monitor deliverables, and contribute to priority initiatives within the Founder’s office.

Candidate Profile

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in Hindi or other Indian languages is advantageous.
• Self-motivated with an ownership mindset, able to work independently and proactively.
• Thrives in a fast-paced, target-oriented startup environment with demanding hours (typically over 9 hours daily).
• Strong multitasking capabilities managing sales, content, and marketing tasks simultaneously.
• Basic proficiency with presentation tools like PowerPoint or Google Slides and content creation/design applications.
• Genuine interest in books, storytelling, publishing, or the creator economy is preferred.

Eligibility Criteria

• Must be available for a full-time, in-office internship in Mumbai, beginning between August 3 and September 7, 2026.
• Commitment to a three-month duration with potential for longer-term engagement or pre-placement offer upon performance.
• Comfortable cold-calling and interacting confidently with clients and partners.
• Possession of a working laptop.
• Open to students or recent graduates from any field; prior experience in sales, social media, or content writing is an asset but not mandatory.
