Water Treatment Specialist

Role Overview

This full-time position involves remotely managing and enhancing water and wastewater treatment operations. The specialist is responsible for continuous monitoring of water quality metrics, evaluating laboratory data, and modifying treatment procedures to comply with health and safety regulations.

Key Duties

• Analyze system performance data and resolve any process issues.
• Collaborate with operational and engineering teams to implement process improvements.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, records, and recommendations.
• Provide training and guidance to team members and clients on effective water treatment methods.
• Participate in improvement projects and assist in audit compliance activities.
• Contribute to the creation and refinement of standard operating procedures.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive understanding of water and wastewater treatment principles with practical application experience.
• Sound knowledge of chemistry related to water treatment including dosing and analytical testing.
• Capable of designing and delivering education on best practices in water treatment to both internal and external audiences.
• Educational background in environmental science, chemical engineering, water resources, or a similar technical discipline.
• Experience adhering to regulatory standards for potable and wastewater treatment.
• Proficiency with laboratory instruments, monitoring technologies, and data analysis software used in water quality assessment.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills ensuring accuracy and thoroughness.
• Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple responsibilities independently in a remote work setup.
• Effective communicator able to work across diverse teams.
