Role Overview

We are seeking a driven and challenge-oriented Vice President of Finance to join our global leadership team and steer the next phase of BlueThrone’s expansion. This pivotal role requires ownership of the company’s entire financial operation, ensuring decisions are based on robust financial data rather than intuition.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and oversee the consolidated group financial model, budget, and rolling forecasts.
• Analyze portfolio app data to derive actionable unit economics metrics such as lifetime value (LTV), payback period, cohort profitability, and return on ad spend (ROAS).
• Collaborate with the founders and COO regarding capital deployment decisions involving app investments and acquisition opportunities.
• Determine and report critical KPIs that monitor the financial health and business model effectiveness.
• Lead financial underwriting and thorough due diligence for potential acquisition targets.
• Structure and model deal terms and expected returns to support negotiation and closure of acquisitions.
• Manage integration of financial processes post-acquisition to ensure smooth operational alignment.
• Maintain relationships with banks and lending institutions, managing debt refinancing and financing arrangements to support growth initiatives.
• Direct investor board reporting and assist with future fundraising activities.
• Supervise group financial consolidation and reporting across multiple entities globally.
• Control cash flow management, collections, and payment systems, including treasury operations, internal controls, and signatory authorities.
• Oversee tax compliance and strategy including transfer pricing, VAT, withholding taxes, and cross-border organizational structures.
• Ensure continuous audit readiness and meet all financial and legal regulatory requirements across jurisdictions.
• Lead financial and legal reporting obligations to local authorities and government bodies.
• Manage and develop the finance team, including a group controller and office manager, scaling the function alongside company growth.
• Foster a culture of transparency, responsibility, and teamwork within a fully remote and international work environment.

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential required.
• Extensive experience working in mobile apps, consumer subscription, or B2B technology subscription sectors.
• Demonstrated expertise in financial planning and analysis (FP&A) and financial controlling across multiple legal jurisdictions.
• Deep knowledge of international finance operations and complex corporate structures.
• Proficient in financial modeling, forecasting, and strategic financial planning.
• Detail-oriented with a hands-on approach, actively engaging in execution rather than solely oversight.
• Excellent communication skills, adept at working remotely and asynchronously with globally dispersed teams.
• Innovative mindset focused on building and implementing robust financial systems and frameworks.
• Legal education or relevant experience is advantageous.
• Flexible working hours aligned mainly with Asia and Europe time zones.

Interaction and Reporting Lines

• Close collaboration with the Chief Financial Officer.
• Reports directly to the company founders.
• Strong partnership with the Chief Operating Officer.
• External coordination with investors, banking partners, regulatory authorities, and service providers.
