About the Role
An international law firm is seeking an experienced Trial Paralegal to join their expanding office located in midtown Manhattan. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and skilled in handling complex commercial litigation matters within both state and federal courts.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and maintain comprehensive case files.
- Prepare and draft various litigation documents.
- Perform in-depth legal research to support case strategies.
- Assist with both physical and electronic discovery processes.
- Contribute to trial preparations and provide support to attorneys during trials as necessary.
- Support appellate procedures and tasks related to appeals.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned to support the legal team.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Possession of a bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certification.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a commercial litigation paralegal working on complex cases.
- Prior exposure to New York State and Federal Courts is essential.
- Recent substantial trial experience within large law firms.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
- Strong written and verbal communication capabilities.
Compensation and Additional Information
- Competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $150,000 annually, based on expertise.
- Benefits package includes healthcare, dental, vision, life insurance, long-term disability coverage, and 401(k) plan.
- Work schedule follows a hybrid model: three days in the office and two days working remotely per week.
- Flexibility to work overtime and travel when required.
