Role overview
In this position, you will support qualified therapy professionals in the head injury service, contributing to occupational therapy and physiotherapy interventions. The role sits within the neurorehabilitation pathway and involves helping people with traumatic brain injury and other neurological conditions in outpatient care.
You will manage an independent caseload focused on assisting patients with everyday activities, mobility, and functional recovery as part of their rehabilitation plan. You will also work alongside the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver coordinated, patient-centred support.
What you will do
- Support assessment and treatment activities for neurological rehabilitation under the direction of qualified occupational therapy and physiotherapy staff.
- Handle an autonomous caseload that promotes patient self-management and progress in rehabilitation.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to respond to caseload demands, staffing pressures, and discharge needs.
- Contribute to a holistic approach to care for patients under the traumatic brain injury and neuro outpatient team.
