Trainee Load Control Officer

Role Overview

This position is responsible for aircraft weight-and-balance work for outbound services from Changi International Airport, as well as flights leaving other airports around the world. The role supports safe flight operations by making sure aircraft are loaded within approved structural limits and are properly balanced around the centre of gravity.

Core Duties

• Carry out weight and balance checks for departing aircraft.
• Confirm that aircraft structural loading stays within safety thresholds.
• Ensure every flight departs in trim and balanced around the correct centre of gravity.
• Prepare loadsheets and associated weight-and-balance records in line with IATA requirements.
• Perform pre-load calculations, loading distribution checks, and load planning.
• Issue loading instructions promptly.
• Provide loadsheets to pilots before departure without delay.

Requirements

• Diploma in any field, or an equivalent level of relevant experience.
• Good reading, writing, and spoken English skills.
• Prepared to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Able to handle the physical and mental demands of the role.
• Minimum GCE O Level with credits in Mathematics.
