Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated and commercially savvy Trade Executive to join our Commercial team based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will focus on trade support within the Gulf region by managing cargo pricing, capacity, and trade performance analytics to enhance revenue and competitive positioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing pricing strategies across Gulf trade routes to optimize revenue and capture market share.
- Evaluate freight rate requests, quotations, and commercial proposals following business goals and market trends.
- Coordinate with regional agencies to ensure correct application of pricing schemes, commercial agreements, and trade policies.
- Monitor vessel space usage and collaborate to improve cargo allocation and capacity utilization.
- Analyze booking behaviors, cargo demands, and market changes to identify growth opportunities.
- Handle customer inquiries regarding commercial terms, free time extensions, and special service needs.
- Investigate any freight irregularities, verify commercial documents, and aid resolution of client or agency disputes.
- Track reefer and special cargo usage to enhance service efficiency and profitability.
- Support tender submissions and strategic quotations through market research and pricing advice.
- Generate and maintain accurate trade-related reports and commercial records.
- Work closely with regional offices, agencies, commercial, operations, and customer service teams to meet trade objectives.
- Provide management with valuable commercial insights, performance data, and market intelligence.
- Develop and nurture strong relationships with agency partners and internal stakeholders.
- Contribute to initiatives aimed at improving efficiency, service quality, and commercial results.

Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business Administration, Maritime Studies, Logistics, Supply Chain, Economics, or related fields.
- Minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in shipping, logistics, freight forwarding, trade management, or commercial operations.
- Experience in the container shipping sector is advantageous.

- Comprehensive understanding of shipping, trade management, and commercial procedures.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills with proficiency in interpreting commercial data.
- Skilled in Microsoft Excel and other reporting tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse cultural contexts.
