Role Overview
The Technician role is a full-time, on-site position in Ajman, tasked with aiding the technical functions of STAR VISTA GENERAL TRADING FZC LLC. Key duties include performing regular inspections, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance on equipment and tools utilized in trading, warehousing, and logistics operations. The role involves assisting with installation and setup of devices, ensuring machinery operates correctly, and promptly reporting any malfunctions or safety hazards to management.
The Technician is responsible for documenting maintenance work, adhering to company protocols and safety regulations. Collaboration with colleagues to maintain smooth daily operations is essential. The position may require coordination with external vendors or service providers and supporting inventory management concerning technical equipment and spare parts.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong technical and mechanical aptitude, capable of executing basic repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment.
- Competence in following established operating procedures, implementing safety standards, and proper use of tools in an industrial or warehouse environment.
- Organizational abilities including maintaining accurate maintenance records, clear reporting of issues, and assisting with inventory monitoring.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with supervisors, team members, and external vendors.
- Preferred possession of a technical diploma or certification in mechanics, electronics, or related fields; prior technician or maintenance experience in trading, logistics, or industrial sectors is advantageous.
- Ability to work on-site in Ajman, adapt to a dynamic work environment, and comply with company policies and quality benchmarks.
