Role overview
This part-time, remote Senior Vice President of Operations position is focused on strengthening the organization’s core operating model. The role is designed to improve efficiency, quality, and scalability while keeping day-to-day execution aligned with broader business objectives.
What you will do
You will lead initiatives that cut across departments, translate strategy into operational plans, and monitor performance indicators to support ongoing improvement. The position includes working closely with finance on budgeting and profit-and-loss oversight, helping raise the standard of customer service, and coordinating major programs and projects.
In addition, you will guide operational leaders, introduce and reinforce effective practices, and share regular updates with executive leadership on operational health, execution progress, and risk-related matters.
Required background
The ideal candidate brings deep experience in operations leadership and a history of streamlining processes to improve organizational effectiveness. You should be comfortable with financial oversight, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance review, as well as leading customer service functions with a focus on satisfaction and issue resolution.
Strong strategic planning ability is important, along with experience defining priorities, setting KPIs, and allocating resources to match business goals. You should also have solid project management experience across complex, cross-functional work, plus senior-level leadership skills that support coaching, consensus-building, and change leadership in a distributed setting.
Excellent analytical judgment, communication, and decision-making are essential. Experience in remote or distributed organizations and familiarity with modern collaboration tools are also expected.
Education
A bachelor’s degree in business, operations, or a related discipline is required. An MBA or similar advanced qualification is preferred.
