Role Overview

We are looking for a Supply Chain Category Planner for the UAE market who will lead strategy and operational activities. This role involves full accountability for supply chain performance in the region by fostering strong partnerships, managing risks, refining processes, and maintaining a competitive portfolio. The position reports to the Head of Supply Chain MEA.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute effective strategies achieving targets for cost, quality, availability, and customer satisfaction.
• Lead demand forecasting and supply management for spare parts to guarantee smooth operations and on-time fulfillment.
• Utilize data analytics to assess expenditures, identify cost-saving opportunities, and promote continuous improvement.
• Optimize stock levels across various sites, channels, and markets; promptly resolve supply issues and avoid inventory surplus.
• Ensure accuracy of all supply chain data and transactions within company systems.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), provide insightful reports for leadership, and influence category development.
• Collaborate with market teams to support product launches, range updates, and the onboarding of new suppliers.
• Implement process improvements using methodologies like Lean or Six Sigma to enhance operational efficiency.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience in supply chain, category management, or procurement, preferably related to components or similar areas.
• Strong analytical skills and commercial insight, proficient in tools such as Excel including pivot tables and data analysis.
• Comprehensive understanding of supply chain functions, procurement, demand planning, and managing external partnerships, ideally in global contexts.
• Proven success in driving cost reductions, optimizing processes, and growing categories.
• Effective project management capabilities with strong multitasking skills.
• Excellent abilities in communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement.
• Experience with continuous improvement approaches.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and proactive problem-solver with a positive, can-do attitude.
