Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Stress Engineer to join our Bengaluru team, focused on aerostructures composite and metallic stress concessions. This role involves hands-on execution of stress assessments and verification of design solutions in compliance with Airbus and other customer standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute stress concessions on aerostructures composites and metallic components, particularly wing and fuselage structures.
  • Apply Airbus methods and processes for static and fatigue stress evaluations.
  • Utilize tools such as ISAME Mathcad and SAP for stress calculations and documentation.
  • Perform detailed hand calculations to support stress justifications.
  • Read and interpret design drawings accurately to meet structural requirements.
  • Report and resolve critical technical issues by adhering to customer methodologies.
  • Collaborate effectively with design assessment teams to verify stress solutions.
  • Understand load paths and structural hierarchies, including primary and secondary aircraft structures.
  • Manage customer expectations and provide proposal support as needed.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members working on aerospace concession projects.

Requirements

  • Engineering degree (B.Tech or B.E.) in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 2 to 8 years of professional experience in aerostructure stress analysis and concession management.
  • Strong knowledge of Airbus stress requirements and documentation standards.
