Store Driver

Overview

This role supports store and customer service operations through timely delivery of automotive parts and related support tasks. The position is based in Hephzibah, Georgia and is intended for someone who is comfortable driving, interacting with customers, and helping maintain an organized, customer-ready store environment.

What you will do

• Collect, prepare, and safely transport parts to professional customers.
• Retrieve returns and used cores from customers.
• Distribute weekly and monthly sales flyers while highlighting active promotions and loyalty offers.
• Handle daily collection efforts for credit accounts.
• Develop strong working relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers and share delivery-related customer insights with the CPP.
• Support selling efforts by suggesting related products and additional options that can raise transaction value.
• Keep the store clean and presentable, including floors, restrooms, front-facing displays, dusting, and the parking lot.
• Assist with stock handling such as truck unloading, back stock organization, and cycle counts.
• Stay familiar with inventory levels and newly received items to better support sales efforts.
• Speak with walk-in customers, learn what they need, and direct them to the right parts or services.
• Take on other tasks as needed.

Additional job requirements

• Ability to speak and write in English; Spanish is a plus.
• Capacity to communicate well and build positive relationships with customers, peers, and leadership.
• Ability to read and understand safety guidelines, operating instructions, maintenance directions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals.
• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Willingness to work a variety of days, evenings, and weekends as needed.
• Confidence in approaching customers and presenting products.
• Interest in learning new products and sales techniques.

Preferred background

• Prior experience working with automotive parts is preferred.

Education and licensing

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record is required.

Physical and work environment

This position is primarily active and requires regular standing and walking. The job also calls for speaking and hearing, using hands and fingers to handle items, reaching, climbing or balancing, and stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. The role involves frequent lifting or moving of up to 50 pounds and occasional lifting or moving of up to 100 pounds with assistance. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work is generally performed indoors, though some outdoor exposure may occur during tasks such as installing batteries and wiper blades. At times, the role may involve exposure to moving machinery, elevated areas, chemicals, electrical shock hazards, explosives, and vibration. The usual noise level is moderate.
