Position Overview

As a Stockperson/Cartpusher, you contribute significantly to maintaining a safe, well-organized, and inviting shopping atmosphere for customers. Your core responsibility involves gathering shopping carts from designated areas such as cart corrals, parking lots, and store perimeters, then returning them to proper storage locations using approved Walmart methods. This position enhances store efficiency and customer service through positive interactions and strict attention to safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect carts from outside areas and return them to storage points in line with company standards, ensuring all logs are accurately maintained.
• Provide assistance promptly whenever requested by cashiers or customer service representatives, including helping customers with carrying purchases and verifying receipts when necessary.
• Carry out cleaning and upkeep tasks periodically, such as maintaining restrooms and handling equipment safely and responsibly.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols and emergency procedures, including handling hazardous materials, lockout/tagout processes, and bloodborne pathogen guidelines.
• Wear mandated personal protective equipment like steel-toed shoes and reflective vests, conduct safety inspections, and ensure the work environment remains hazard-free.
• Exhibit flexibility in work schedules by accommodating various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays to support business operations.

Challenges of the Role

• Manage high workloads efficiently in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
• Adapt and manage overnight shifts to stay attentive and effective throughout the working hours.
• Complete physical tasks involving standing for long durations, bending, lifting supplies weighing between 20 to 50 pounds, and executing repetitive stocking and organizing duties carefully and consistently.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this role is $18.40.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
