About the Role
Joining Walmart Canada as a Stock Unloader Associate offers an excellent chance to gain practical experience in a fast-moving retail setting. This position is crucial for the efficient operation of the store, involving unloading delivery trailers, processing merchandise, and transporting pallets to the sales area while ensuring a clean and safe workspace. Key Duties
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders carefully from various temperature zones to ensure timely delivery.
- Verify product quality by selecting fresh items and removing damaged or unsuitable goods, accurately completing all necessary documentation and labeling.
- Arrange totes efficiently to maximize space utilization while maintaining product safety and quality.
- Balance order fulfillment duties with proactive and helpful customer service, assisting with inquiries and resolving issues as needed.
- Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment by following food hygiene and safety protocols, promptly cleaning spills, and ensuring totes are sanitized before use. Safely operate equipment and conduct required safety inspections.
- Exhibit flexibility by working varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet business demands.
Workplace Challenges
- Manage high workloads in a fast-paced environment with a significant volume of restocking and recovery tasks completed accurately and on schedule.
- Adapt to overnight shifts by effectively managing energy and focus throughout your work hours.
- Perform physically demanding tasks such as standing for long periods, bending, and lifting inventory or supplies weighing up to 20 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
- Carry out consistent, detail-oriented repetitive tasks like stocking and organizing to maintain store standards.

Compensation
The starting wage for this position is $18.40 per hour.
