Role Overview

We are recruiting a Station Manager for our Berlin team (Reference: 11430-1/2025). This key leadership role is responsible for managing the station's personnel and operations to guarantee the efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality maintenance of customer aircraft.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all station employees in both technical and disciplinary matters to maintain efficient and quality aircraft servicing.
  • Oversee staff deployment, including creating duty schedules and ensuring that work is executed by suitably qualified personnel, accompanied by accurate shift reports.
  • Conduct employee discussions and coordinate with supervisors on individual personnel development and, where necessary, initiate disciplinary actions to foster staff growth.
  • Drive strategy development, quality assurance, cost reduction, and process optimization at the station contributing toward company objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, working hours, and fire prevention regulations to maintain a modern, safe, and healthy work environment.
  • Facilitate timely communication with MOC/MCC and technicians regarding aircraft clearance reports and coordinate appropriate steps during AOG or defects.
  • Produce regular reports and feedback for supervisors.
  • Assist with or directly manage temporary airport badge applications for external staff.
  • Take charge of the timely completion of maintenance tasks, monitor service progress for customers, verify technical documentation and CWO completeness, and correct discrepancies to ensure accurate billing.
  • Perform maintenance and repair work independently on managed aircraft types, adhering to all applicable regulations and qualifications, thereby directly contributing to aviation safety and maintaining relevant licenses.

Candidate Profile

  • Completed vocational training in an aviation technical profession or equivalent extensive experience.
  • Possession of an AML under EASA Part-66 as a Certifying Technician CAT B1.
  • Several years of hands-on experience in line or base maintenance of civil aircraft.
  • Proven leadership experience managing technical teams, including budgetary and aviation regulatory responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of aviation legal requirements, quality management systems, EASA regulations, and occupational safety laws.
  • Excellent written and spoken English and German skills fitting for official correspondence.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and AMOS software.
  • Effective communication skills, empathy, and sound judgment.
  • Natural leadership qualities and strong social competence.
  • Decisiveness and assertiveness in decision-making.
  • High levels of duty, quality consciousness, and responsibility.
  • Absolute trustworthiness and loyalty.
