Role Overview

We are looking for a Staff Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) passionate about infrastructure, reliability engineering, and enabling teams. The ideal candidate builds resilient, scalable systems while assisting product teams to deliver confidently. You will leverage your expertise in cloud-native environments balancing engineering rigor with practical support for fast-moving development.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate across teams to modernize, secure, and standardize operations throughout the software and product development lifecycle.
• Work closely with product teams to enhance reliability, scalability, and operational maturity aligned with platform and security standards.
• Advise teams on designing fault-tolerant architectures, defining service level indicators (SLIs) and objectives (SLOs), and managing error budgets.
• Lead troubleshooting of complex production issues and support incident management, root cause analysis, and postmortem reviews.
• Automate infrastructure and operational processes to reduce manual efforts and speed delivery timelines.
• Improve observability via enhanced logging, metrics, tracing, and performance monitoring.
• Create reusable tools, templates, and platform components that streamline engineering workflows.
• Promote and influence reliability best practices organization-wide.
• Act as a technical mentor, guiding engineering teams on architectural and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python or Go.
• Experience managing cloud-native applications on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and container orchestration concepts.
• Expertise in Terraform for infrastructure as code.
• Hands-on knowledge of observability tools including metrics, logging, and tracing, along with diagnosing distributed system challenges.
• Demonstrated experience leading or supporting incident response and conducting thorough postmortems.
• Strong collaborative and influencing capabilities without direct authority, partnered effectively with developers.
• Clear communication skills to explain reliability considerations to diverse audiences.
• A systems-thinking mindset with commitment to operational excellence and continual improvement.
• Adaptable, curious, and able to balance innovative and pragmatic engineering decisions.
