Sonographer

Position Overview

St Vincent's Private Hospital in Dublin is seeking a full-time Sonographer with advanced expertise in diagnostic radiography and ultrasound. This role requires the ability to operate independently in ultrasound and other radiology modalities while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• Possession of the Diploma of the College of Radiographers (Diagnostic) or a Bachelor of Science or equivalent degree in Diagnostic Radiography.
• Current CORU registration is mandatory.
• Holder of a recognized postgraduate qualification in Ultrasound.
• A minimum of three years of post-graduate experience in Radiography.
• At least three years of post-graduate experience specifically in ultrasound practice.
• Proven ability to work as part of a radiography team alongside other disciplines.
• Capable of autonomous operation within Ultrasound and various radiology modalities.
• Experience in Vascular Ultrasound is required.

Desirable Attributes

• Interest in advancing quality initiatives within Ultrasound services.
• Experience in Musculoskeletal (MSK) Ultrasound.
• Additional training in other modalities such as MRI, CT, or PET.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to perform effectively under pressure.
• Strong liaison skills for interacting with staff and management across organizational levels.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development.
• High level of responsibility and readiness to take initiative.
