Overview
We are seeking a talented Social Content Creator to join our marketing team in Chicago, IL. This role involves a 6+ month contract with potential for extension, requiring on-site presence two days per week in a hybrid work setup. The key focus is to craft compelling social media content that brings our brand stories to life across multiple platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily social media operations, spending the majority of time creating captivating content including original photography, videography, and graphic designs tailored to platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.
- Manage content production workflows by coordinating asset requests, approvals, and scheduling publication to ensure timely delivery.
- Write engaging copy for posts and actively participate in consumer engagement through social media channels, including direct messaging interactions.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams and agency partners to ensure content aligns with brand messaging and campaign objectives.
- Stay informed on emerging social media trends and platform updates to optimize content strategy and formats.
- Operate organic brand social media channels, maintaining consistent brand voice and engaging with audiences.
- Handle social media campaign planning, platform coordination, performance tracking, and tactical execution.
- Utilize social media analytics and management tools to analyze performance, identifying insights and opportunities for content and engagement improvement.
- Maintain and update content calendars across platforms to ensure strategic alignment and brand consistency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Design, or related field preferred.
- Two to three years of experience managing social media, with proven skills in operational coordination and campaign execution.
- Strong copywriting, communication, and content creation abilities.
- Proficiency in graphic design, videography, photography, and video editing using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and CapCut.
- Portfolio demonstrating creative social media content and design excellence required.
- Excellent project management skills capable of juggling multiple priorities, deadlines, and team coordination.
- In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, best practices, and content optimization techniques.
- Experience with social media management tools, preferably Sprinklr.
- Detail-oriented mindset with strong accountability and follow-through capability.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative and fast-paced team environment.
Additional Information
- On-camera participation in content creation is expected as part of the role’s responsibilities.
- The contract position includes tactical execution duties making up approximately 20% of the workload, with content creation accounting for the majority.
