Job description
About the Role
This is an excellent chance to join an outstanding and welcoming veterinary team at Ellerslie Veterinary Clinic, a well-equipped and modern clinic located in Auckland. The small animal veterinarian will work approximately three days per week, with flexible scheduling options including Saturdays (9 AM to 12 PM) on a 1:5 roster system. Candidates may choose a role focused solely on consulting and medicine or include surgical duties as part of their workweek.
Clinic and Team
The clinic features state-of-the-art facilities such as a digital radiography (DR) X-ray system, a high-grade ultrasound machine, an in-house lab, a full surgical suite, four consultation rooms, a dedicated dental suite, and a tranquility room designed for patient comfort. Staff have access to a spacious break room and a private veterinary office. The team is comprised of six veterinarians and eight nurses who pursue various special interests. This is a cat-friendly gold clinic with two consultation rooms exclusively for cats. The clinic values long-standing client relationships, treating pets as cherished family members and emphasizing a high standard of compassionate care.

Candidate Requirements
- A motivated and enthusiastic veterinarian eager to contribute to a supportive and inspiring work environment.
- Qualification of BVSc or equivalent recognised in New Zealand, with full registration to practice.
- Preferably at least three years of clinical experience.
